Green Houses
Green Houses is an evolving series of hand painted graphite, gouache and ink, balsa wood dollhouses containing natural elements inside. This collection speaks to our voyeuristic nature as humans, wanting to peek inside the worlds and lives of others. It plays on the notion of "what goes on behind closed doors" inviting you in to see what lurks there, what is growing. Bringing the landscape elements inside instead of outside reminds us how a place, specifically a house begins to take on a life of its own.
